Construction Engineer I

What you will do

• Coordinate with inspectors on field reviews, data collection, analysis, studies, and forecasting.
• Collect and manage engineering and construction data, including quantity take-offs for engineering estimates.
• Prepare project data for schedules and assist with schedule and budget development to monitor progress.
• Assist with contractor change order negotiations.
• Review contractor invoices, verify quantities, and enter invoices into the client’s online system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• 2+ years of construction or office engineer experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Client-focused approach and commitment to integrity, innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in diverse and inclusive teams.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure construction experience with NYCHA or a similar agency.
