Resident Engineer (Electrical)

Location: New York, United States — 32 Old Slip; onsite construction field work

Salary: $117,600–$176,400 annually

What you will do

• Oversee electrical inspection and construction management staff on rail electrical projects.
• Chair project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Review contractor schedules, baseline plans, updates, and work plans.
• Review manning reports, payroll certifications, and other labor documentation.
• Monitor compliance with contractor safety, health, and quality plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering activities and construction field team management.
• Experience with MTA-New York City Transit, Metro North Railroad, NJ Transit, or Long Island Railroad construction projects is required or strongly relevant.
• OSHA 30-hour safety course.
• Reliable transportation required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Project Management Procedures (PMPs) and Project Management Guidelines (PMGs).
