Principal Consulting Engineer (Civil/Environmental)

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; hybrid

Compensation: $122,000–$182,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients, partners, and industry peers.
• Lead large, complex environmental investigation, remediation, and brownfield redevelopment projects.
• Serve as the responsible engineer for turnkey remedial actions and site development.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, resources, performance, and technical quality.
• Represent the organization at client meetings, conferences, and industry events while supporting business development.
• Lead, coach, and mentor technical staff and develop high-performing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• 17+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• Experience leading client-facing work and large, complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and RCRA, CERCLA, UST, and state voluntary programs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, along with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
