What you will do

• Perform general, preventative, inspection, servicing, repair, overhaul, and construction work across hospital buildings and grounds.
• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other facilities systems.
• Carry out maintenance tasks involving sheet metal, pipe fitting, carpentry, tile setting, painting, electrical work, and roof maintenance.
• Use welding equipment, plumbing equipment, grinders, drills, and other hand and power tools.
• Complete preventative maintenance work orders and respond to daily demand work orders.
• Maintain the hospital lock and key system, work records, materials, and a safe, orderly work area; participate in snow removal and sanding.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of building maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures, safe equipment use, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications, operate maintenance tools, perform physical work, and exercise judgment during emergencies.

Nice to have

• Completion of a vocational or trade school program.
• Three years of building maintenance experience.
