Maintenance Technician

Location: On-site at the St. Petersburg campus, St. Petersburg, Florida, United States; standard hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Hourly wage: $25.00–$28.00, depending on location and relevant experience, plus a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair HVAC systems, furnaces, ventilation equipment, and refrigeration-related components.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including filter changes and duct cleaning.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components in compliance with applicable codes.
• Assemble, install, and repair plumbing systems, pipes, fittings, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Support general facilities maintenance and maintain accurate records of work and materials.
• Follow safety policies and promote a safety-first work environment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical circuits, and plumbing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice to have

• EPA Section 608 refrigerant certification or a Journeyman license.
