Master Mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing)

Location: On-site in Pensacola, Florida, United States. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; essential personnel, with possible after-hours on-call duties.

Salary: $29.28–$36.59 per hour

What you will do

• Install, operate, alter, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen, and plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and other mechanical equipment using manuals, safety guidelines, and building management systems.
• Record maintenance activities, parts used, equipment condition, and completed service orders.
• Create and update standard operating and emergency procedures for facilities personnel.
• Inspect building systems, assess project scope and resources, and coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal departments.
• Lead preventive maintenance and emergency-response teams while recommending actions related to safety, code compliance, and apprentice assignments.

Requirements

• Master or Journeyman license, or at least 7 years of experience under a licensed mechanical contractor.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
• Thorough knowledge of local, state, and national mechanical and plumbing codes, trade tools, materials, mathematics, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work on ladders, platforms, and hard-to-reach areas and lift at least 40 pounds.
• Ability to read schedules, directions, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and manufacturer manuals.
• Ability to obtain a 10-hour OSHA certification and meet continuing education requirements for the applicable HVAC and plumbing location.

Nice to have

• Extensive commercial HVAC and chiller experience.
• Refrigerant license.
• NATE certifications, electrical certification or equivalent experience, kitchen service experience, and knowledge of CRAC units serving IDF and MDF rooms.
