Mechanic II

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, USA; onsite. Schedule: Thursdays 12:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and Friday–Sunday 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. ET.

Base pay: $29.25 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the distribution center conveyor system.
• Set up and maintain receiving, picking, and shipping equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain order pickers, forklifts, and pallet jacks, including battery charging and change-outs.
• Complete office maintenance, equipment installation, reports, and maintenance-parts inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience maintaining conveyors, lift trucks, building equipment, HVAC, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
• Certification or demonstrated ability in 120V–277V electrical installation, three-phase motor-control troubleshooting, or forklift, order-picker, and pallet-jack repair.
• Strong electrical and mechanical abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, and to stand, walk, bend, twist, or crouch throughout the shift.
