Mechanic II (Weekday Nightshift) (Electrical, Mechanical)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, USA — onsite. Monday–Thursday night shift.

Base pay: $28.75 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and distribution-center equipment.
• Set up and service receiving, picking, and shipping equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on order pickers, forklifts, and pallet jacks, including battery changes and charging.
• Maintain facility and office equipment, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, painting, welding, and metal fabrication tasks.
• Install and repair equipment, generate maintenance reports, and manage facility-parts inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience maintaining conveyors, lift trucks, building systems, HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, or plumbing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical abilities.
• Certification or demonstrated ability in 120V–277V electrical installation, three-phase motor-control troubleshooting, or forklift, order-picker, and pallet-jack maintenance and repair.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, and to stand, walk, bend, twist, or crouch throughout the shift.
• Excellent communication skills.
