Senior SAP Developer (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin; onsite several days a week. Direct hire; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Design, configure, develop, and support SAP applications, including upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvements.
• Develop scalable technical solutions aligned with business requirements and analyze the impact, effort, and risks of proposed changes.
• Configure, test, and improve workflows while troubleshooting issues across SAP and integrated systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project leadership to deliver operationally effective solutions.
• Provide production support, documentation, user training, and subject matter expertise for assigned SAP applications.
• Mentor junior analysts and lead documentation and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED with extensive relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing or configuring enterprise technology solutions in an application analyst, SAP developer, or project delivery role.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA development experience, including ABAP on HANA, object-oriented ABAP, CDS views, SQL optimization, and performance-focused development.
• Experience with SAP RAP, Clean Core extensibility, SAP Fiori, Fiori Elements, UI adaptations or extensions, and freestyle applications.
• Experience supporting S/4HANA upgrades, including SPAU/SPDD adjustments, SAP Notes implementation, and custom code remediation.
• Experience with RISE with SAP, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, CPI, OData, REST APIs, SAP CAP, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging.
