SAP Backend Developer (S/4HANA)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support custom SAP enhancements, integrations, and reports in large enterprise SAP landscapes.
• Perform requirements analysis, technical design, hands-on coding, unit testing, performance tuning, and post-go-live support.
• Develop ABAP solutions using core ABAP, ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDPs, and HANA-optimized ABAP.
• Build OData services and integrate SAP backend systems with Fiori applications.
• Implement enhancement frameworks and integration technologies including IDoc, RFC, BAPI, and Web Services.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders on troubleshooting, documentation, and delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of professional ABAP development experience, including significant S/4HANA experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with ABAP OO, CDS views, AMDPs, HANA-optimized ABAP, and OData services.
• Experience with Fiori integration, enhancement frameworks, SAP module data structures, and enterprise integration technologies.
• Experience with performance tuning tools such as SAT and ST05, HANA diagnostic tools, SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, and transport management.

Nice to have

• Experience with S/4HANA system conversions or greenfield implementations.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, ABAP RAP, or Steampunk.
• Hands-on Fiori/UI5 development experience.
• Familiarity with SAP CPI or Integration Suite.
• SAP-certified ABAP developer credentials.
