Principal Data & Solution Architect (AI)

Location: United States Work at Home

Salary: USD 137,300–228,900 annually, depending on experience and geographic location; annual bonus and long-term incentive plan may also apply.

What you will do

• Design reusable, scalable, enterprise-agnostic data models and solution architectures for the Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architecture.
• Create data models, solution blueprints, reference patterns, and design specifications for engineering and product teams.
• Define transformation logic, data relationships, semantics, and readiness criteria for reusable Silver-layer sources.
• Apply AI, automation, templates, and accelerators to shorten modeling and documentation cycles.
• Partner with Data Engineering to implement designs through governed CI/CD pipelines and validate production datasets and data products.
• Set technical standards and mentor engineers and analysts on architecture, modeling, and reusable design practices.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience as a data architect and/or solution architect in a complex enterprise data environment.
• Expertise in medallion architecture, reusable data modeling, and enterprise-agnostic data design.
• Ability to translate architectural direction into concrete, buildable, production-ready designs.
• Experience refactoring bespoke solutions into reusable assets and working with CI/CD pipelines and controlled production promotion.
• Experience applying AI and automation while preserving governance, security, and quality controls.
• Strong technical communication and mentorship skills; experience in complex, regulated enterprises is preferred.
