PLC/Systems Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Menomonie, Wisconsin, United States; onsite work with up to 5% domestic travel.

Salary: $38.73–$41.64 per hour.

What you will do

• Diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot, service, and repair process and facility equipment.
• Maintain and repair PLCs, controls networks, AC/DC drives and motors, servo drives, motion control systems, and pneumatic devices.
• Read and interpret elementary, PID, and industrial controls drawings, PLC logic, blueprints, vendor drawings, sketches, and service manuals.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and craft personnel to troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment, systems, and processes.
• Recommend improvements and optimization opportunities for facility and process equipment.
• Follow corporate policies, security standards, and environmental health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in Automation Engineering Technology or Controls Engineering, completed before starting, or expected within six months.
• Experience in electrical controls systems maintenance is beneficial, including five years of experience in private, public, government, or military environments.
• Experience with manufacturing or manufacturing technology involving web processing equipment is beneficial.
• Experience with Allen Bradley controls and drive technologies and Windows-based computer systems is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with a diverse audience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship; relocation assistance is not authorized.
