TL;DR
Test Engineer II (RF/Electronics): Developing production test systems, test plans, procedures, automation, and electrical and mechanical fixtures for military aerospace equipment with an accent on RF, analog and digital circuit testing, test documentation, and hardware troubleshooting. Focus on calibrating test equipment, analyzing failures and root causes, designing close-tolerance fixtures, and supporting test readiness reviews through production release.

Location: 100% onsite in Inglewood, California, United States. Applicants must qualify as U.S. persons under ITAR, including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, political asylees, or refugees.

Salary: $80,000–$105,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

  • Assist with and occasionally lead test projects from design and development through training and production release.
  • Develop test processes, plans, procedures, programs, equipment, automation, and electrical or mechanical fixtures.
  • Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot test systems, circuits, components, cable harnesses, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Prepare test reports, analyze data, and perform test validation and verification.
  • Investigate test incidents and failures, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
  • Support new test program test readiness reviews and collaborate with stakeholders through project completion.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, plus at least three years of closely related technical experience with mechanical engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot testers, and cable harness testers.
  • Experience developing tests for EMI, RF, analog, and digital circuits, including hardware requirements for volume manufacturing.
  • Experience developing production test systems and interpreting schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and Mil-Spec standards.
  • Knowledge of test equipment, data acquisition, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and precision measuring devices.
  • Programming experience with C, C++, and/or LabVIEW, alongside strong documentation, organization, communication, and customer-relations skills.
