What you will do

• Design, develop, and trial prototype and production tooling for new products and improvements.
• Specify system components and modifications to ensure plastic containers meet engineering and performance specifications.
• Research, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes.
• Investigate material, equipment, and process failures and recommend solutions to prevent defects and malfunctions.
• Design test apparatus and equipment, develop testing procedures, and analyze product and system performance.
• Analyze training needs, implement training programs, coordinate employee problem-solving teams, and provide technical support.

Requirements

• Preferred bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Experience with computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ProE.
• Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, creative thinking, and ownership of safety.
• Willingness to work hands-on to complete tasks and projects.
