Supervisor, Histology (Phoenix, AZ)

What you will do

• Supervise daily Histology laboratory operations, specimen processing, and on-time sample delivery.
• Resolve technical and workflow issues in accordance with laboratory procedures and standards.
• Monitor test performance and quality control, implementing corrective actions for deviations.
• Train, mentor, and assess the competency of laboratory staff.
• Collaborate with Pathology, Accessioning, Analytical Laboratory, IT, and management teams.
• Prepare SOPs, reports, and performance assessments while supporting laboratory improvements and new test procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and 6+ years of histology laboratory experience.
• Experience managing high-volume histology or pathology laboratory operations.
• Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, and NY regulatory requirements.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising and mentoring laboratory staff.
• Proficiency with LIMS systems, Microsoft Office, and laboratory automation tools.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• HT(ASCP) or HLT(ASCP) certification; QIHC certification is preferred.
• Experience in project management or process improvement initiatives.
• Clinical or surgical pathology laboratory experience.
