Lab Assistant Sr (Medical Laboratory): Collecting and processing patient specimens, performing laboratory testing, and maintaining clinical laboratory equipment and records with an accent on phlebotomy, chemistry and hematology testing, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Focus on performing CLIA testing, troubleshooting instruments, documenting results, and maintaining safe handling procedures for blood, chemicals, and infectious materials.

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States. Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

What you will do

  • Collect, identify, process, and send patient specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Perform chemistry, hematology, immunology, and CLIA-waived or moderately complex testing under supervision.
  • Perform phlebotomy, patient preparation, vital-sign collection, and support patient flow.
  • Maintain accessioning, test-result, quality-control, equipment, and maintenance records.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and contact technical services when needed.
  • Maintain supplies, clean work areas, dispose of hazardous materials, and follow safety and regulatory procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of laboratory experience required for the Senior level.
  • Experience with specimen collection, phlebotomy, laboratory testing, documentation, and equipment procedures.
  • Ability to follow CLIA, OSHA, universal precautions, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to work with patients and handle blood, body fluids, chemicals, needles, glassware, and infectious materials.
