Principal Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be located in the United States. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually.

Base salary: $174,051–$227,233 in Zone C, $188,730–$246,398 in Zone B, or $209,700–$273,775 in Zone A per year, with potential eligibility for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

What you will do

• Lead complex engineering initiatives from technical design through launch.
• Provide technical leadership and define execution plans for high-impact, multi-project initiatives.
• Address complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards to new projects.
• Raise technical standards across the organization and promote engineering excellence.
• Collaborate across Engineering teams on company-wide initiatives.
• Share engineering practices and mentor the next generation of technical leaders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Experience with one or more prominent languages or technologies such as Java, Scala, Node, JavaScript, or React.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Deep experience in systems engineering at scale, including testing, reliability, security, and observability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with and mentoring junior team members, plus familiarity with A/B testing techniques.
