Software Engineer (TypeScript/React/Node)

Location: Remote within the United States only; all work must be performed from U.S. locations.

Salary: $195,000–$229,000 base pay annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own full-stack features and reusable platform primitives for internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Build, operate, support, and scale integrations in hirify.global Government Cloud, including monitoring, on-call incident response, and change management.
• Develop authentication, data-ingestion, and schema-evolution services for secure and reliable external integrations.
• Implement continuous-monitoring detectors, automated tests, and versioned mappings for federal compliance frameworks in partnership with subject-matter experts.
• Build secure, documented, scalable services and user interfaces with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Improve performance, operational excellence, software development practices, and development and operations workflows using AI tools.

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience building reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and reusable platform components, with knowledge of OAuth, API keys, JWT, and security best practices.
• Experience integrating external systems such as cloud providers, HRIS, identity providers, and code repositories using rate limiting, retries, idempotency, and webhooks.
• Ability to design for scale, reliability, failure modes, edge cases, and operational risk.
• Experience collaborating with internal teams, federal agencies, vendors, and third-party assessment organizations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or FISMA compliance frameworks.
• Experience building or operating in government or regulated cloud environments such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or GCP.
• Startup or bias-for-action experience.
• Interest in security or compliance products.
