Senior Software Engineer FS - Backend Focused (JavaScript)

Location: Remote, nationwide across the United States

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

• Own contributions to enterprise application codebases and support scope, schedule, and delivery goals.
• Design, develop, diagnose, and improve high-availability systems and their integrations.
• Communicate technical issues and present design documents and system diagrams to clients, stakeholders, partners, and engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical interviews.
• Propose and evaluate approaches to technical and software engineering process challenges.
• Lead small or temporary team structures and projects when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience developing systems and applications for federal clients.
• Experience with enterprise-level, high-availability application development and clean, well-architected code.
• Object-oriented design patterns, JavaScript frameworks including React, Angular, and Node, and strong database skills.
• Cloud computing experience with Cloud Foundry, Azure, or AWS; continuous integration and deployment with tools such as Jenkins; and source control with Git or GitHub.
• Experience with SQL or similar query languages, XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, web services, ETL jobs, and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards, accessibility testing tools, screen readers, and functional, SOA, and performance testing methodologies.
