Senior Facilities and Space Planner

What you will do

• Develop and coordinate complex campus, facilities, space, site, transportation, infrastructure, and capital planning projects.
• Conduct space and site planning, programming, feasibility studies, needs assessments, and environmental impact research.
• Prepare reports, proposals, floorplans, space allocation analyses, and planning documentation for leadership and project partners.
• Coordinate with external planning, design, engineering, and construction firms and serve as a primary client liaison.
• Support and lead project management initiatives, including the transition from conceptual planning to project implementation.
• Contribute to the planning and construction of a new clinical office building and other campus projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related area, or equivalent experience and training.
• 5–7 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience.
• Experience with facilities management practices and space management policies in a large, complex organization, preferably in research laboratory or healthcare environments.
• Thorough knowledge of land use, site planning, and campus master planning principles.
• Ability to interpret complex data, develop proactive solutions, and integrate strategic goals into tactical operations.
• Working knowledge of applicable design, construction, safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with research laboratories or healthcare facilities.
• FMSystems experience.
• Knowledge of environmental impact assessment methodologies, including historic resources, transportation, and air quality.
