Senior Transit Architect (Transportation)

Location: Empire State Building, New York, New York, United States; full-time onsite

Salary: $149,671.54–$171,053.19 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate architectural and engineering teams through initial and detailed design phases for rail and transit projects.
• Develop architectural plans, design details, specifications, layouts, and construction documents for stations and related facilities.
• Perform design and construction system analysis, code analysis, material selection, and technical solution development.
• Lead and coach architectural staff, coordinate with disciplines, clients, consultants, and manufacturers, and oversee project work.
• Conduct site and construction inspections, prepare interpretive reports, and review shop drawings and Requests for Information.
• Serve as a quality control reviewer and ensure conformance with standards, codes, and established architectural practices.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture; B.Arch or M.Arch preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience as a project architect in the rail or transit sector.
• Required experience designing transit architecture, including stations and related facilities.
• Registered Licensed Architect in the State of New York required.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong design, technical detailing, presentation, problem-solving, teamwork, and client-focused skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenBuildings, Rhino, 3-D Max, or SketchUp.
• LEED accreditation.
