Part-Time After Hours Staff Pharmacist (Remote)

Location: Remote anywhere within the United States. Active pharmacist licensure in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, or Iowa is required, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses. The schedule includes every other Saturday from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, plus 4:00 PM–9:00 PM CST shifts at least 2–3 times per week; evenings, overnights, and weekends may be required.

Hourly rate: $54–$91 USD, depending on experience and geographic location. The role may also qualify for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Complete remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification through multiple pharmacy information systems.
• Provide patient counseling, drug information, and therapeutic guidance to physicians, nurses, and other care providers.
• Assess medication appropriateness, dosing adjustments, interactions, and compatibilities, including renal and hepatic considerations.
• Support specialized patient populations and maintain knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac and narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, and chemotherapy.
• Document clinical interventions accurately and promptly while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and client policies.
• Participate in clinical, system, and policy training and meet productivity and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Active pharmacist licensure in good standing in IL, IN, MO, IA, and/or KS, with willingness to obtain other required state licenses.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work across multiple pharmacy information systems, VPNs, and automation systems.
• Ability to work part-time evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
• For home work, cable broadband or fiber internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.
