Clinical Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Audit & Review

Location: Work from home within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah

Salary: $30.30–$40.90 per hour expected hiring range; full range $28.40–$46.30 per hour; 10% bonus target.

What you will do

• Conduct post-service audits and review pharmacy claims for billing accuracy.
• Analyze billings and verify that charges align with medical records and reimbursement policies.
• Evaluate drug administration and treatment information, including pharmaceutical and off-label medication details.
• Coordinate audit workflows, prioritize records, and complete reviews within required timelines.
• Ensure work complies with corporate standards, federal and state regulations, and accreditation requirements.
• Maintain reference documentation, meet productivity and quality targets, and cross-train across department functions.

Requirements

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or residential treatment facility.
• At least 3 years of health insurance claims or analytical experience.
• Competence in claim review, billing, and claims forms.
• In-depth knowledge of drugs and pharmaceuticals, including IV fluids and off-label medication uses.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, organization, and general computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet search.

Nice to have

• Payment review or coding experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
