Location: Primarily Middletown/Newport, Rhode Island, United States; candidates should be local or willing and able to relocate to the area. Remote work is listed as allowed 100%, but many opportunities require onsite, laboratory, waterfront, shipboard, or other direct program support.

What you will do

  • Support current or future engineering, technical, systems, fleet support, and program support opportunities.
  • Work with submarine combat, fire control, weapons, platform, radar, RF, sensor, and electronic warfare systems.
  • Perform systems integration, verification, validation, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support hardware and software integration, networking, shipboard communications, PCB design, and component integration.
  • Contribute to system upgrades, modernization, obsolescence management, technical documentation, and engineering change documentation.
  • Provide material, parts, logistics, laboratory, waterfront, shipboard, fleet, or direct program financial support as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, mechanical, or systems engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline, depending on the opportunity.
  • Associate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience may qualify for technician and technical support roles.
  • Relevant U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, defense contractor, shipboard, submarine, or fleet experience.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and program teams.
  • Some positions may require eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with photonics, imaging systems, periscopes, photonics masts, CANES, wireless networks, or shipboard communications.
