What you will do

• Design rugged and edge-compute systems, specifically within the 3U-VPX space.
• Manage the full development lifecycle from initial concept and electrical design through mechanical packaging.
• Perform system assembly, integration, and qualification testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver certifiable compute platforms.
• Support hardware bring-up, design reviews, and verification and validation (V&V) activities.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• 2–8 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with rugged compute, edge compute, system assembly, or system integration.
• Required location: San Diego, CA.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with 3U OpenVPX, SOSA, MOSA, CMOSS, or VITA standards.
• Hands-on background in Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) for airborne or defense electronics.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle for logistics and procurement.
