Supervisor I, Manufacturing

Location: Newport, Vermont, United States; on-site. Weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 5:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Lead and direct manufacturing employees and Team Leads during daily operations.
• Coordinate staffing, assignments, production priorities, schedules, and performance.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, Lean Manufacturing, and 6S practices.
• Coach, train, develop, and cross-train employees.
• Monitor performance metrics and communicate operational issues and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Human Resources, and other departments to resolve problems and improve processes.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Business, Management, Manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced production environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems; mechanical aptitude is required for the role.

• Injection molding experience.
• Military experience.
