Production Group Leader (Manufacturing)

Location: Zeeland, Michigan, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Lead a production team responsible for people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Manage direct reports, including time tracking, records, training, development, performance, and disciplinary actions.
• Plan production to meet customer demand while maintaining required quality standards.
• Coach continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices, including 5S and the 8 Forms of Waste.
• Support equipment and process development, optimization, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations using 5 Whys and 8D.
• Own departmental KPIs and collaborate cross-functionally to support customer requirements and manufacturing readiness for new products and processes.

Requirements

• Two- to four-year degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Ability to develop working knowledge of all workstations within the manufacturing area.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment authorization is verified through E-Verify.
