Supervisor, Injection Molding (Manufacturing)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; on-site manufacturing floor presence required

Annual salary: $75,000–$90,000, depending on skills and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead press operators in the safe, efficient, and standardized operation of injection molding machines.
• Coordinate Tooling, Setup, Process Engineering, and Material Handling activities to ensure presses start and run on schedule.
• Monitor injection molding KPIs, including downtime, schedule adherence, scrap and reject rates, and labor efficiency.
• Drive operator standard work, inspections, documentation, escalation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Lead Gemba walks and Kaizen events to address bottlenecks and improve workflow between functional groups.
• Manage staffing, attendance, overtime, shift transitions, and operator and Team Lead development across a 24/7 operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in plastics molding, assembly, manufacturing, or a cleanroom environment.
• At least 3 years of experience developing people and teams.
• Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, workflow improvement, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and production systems.
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation and ability to work in required PPE and access elevated platforms or ladders.

Nice to have

• Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 environments.
• Lean Sigma Champion certification or ability to obtain it.
• Bachelor’s degree.
