Senior Cost Analyst (DHS/FEMA)

Location: On-site in Arlington, Virginia, United States

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Perform cost and economic analysis for FEMA acquisition programs.
• Conduct cost research, data collection, parametric estimating, and cost and schedule estimating.
• Develop cost-estimating relationships, analytical models, and software cost estimates.
• Perform lifecycle cost, cost-risk, project forecasting, risk assessment, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Provide budget analysis and execution support while advising senior-level decision-makers on significant cost issues.

Requirements

• 7–15 years of government acquisition experience, including federal contract requirements, cost estimating, and cost analysis.
• Experience with complex information technologies, simulations, models, operations, and research tools.
• Knowledge of government cost-analysis software such as ACEIT, Crystal Ball, and @Risk.
• Knowledge of DHS systems, software, policy, and FEMA cost-estimating and budget practices.
• CCEA certification from ICEAA, a bachelor's degree, and strong written, verbal, quantitative, research, analytical, and presentation skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability are required.

Nice to have

• Agile software estimating experience.
• Background in mathematics, engineering, business, or the sciences.
