Budget Analysis, Senior Analyst (Federal Budgeting)

Location: On-site in Washington, DC / Rosslyn, Virginia

Salary: $104,000–$112,000 per year

What you will do

• Research prior-year submissions, contracts, expenditures, and current financial data to conduct variance analysis.
• Coordinate data calls, meetings, spending reviews, and fiscal-year requirements with Program Offices.
• Develop leadership metrics, reports, charts, narratives, and budget justifications.
• Maintain execution plans, allocate funding, manage obligation trackers and ULOs, and issue funding authorizations.
• Run monthly reports, review invoices, and perform financial reconciliations.
• Collaborate with software developers to improve financial planning and execution systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related work experience.
• BA/BS degree.
• Knowledge of Federal, Departmental, and Bureau budgetary principles, regulations, and procedures.
• Experience using computer-based programs to track and analyze financial information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance and upgrade to Top Secret clearance as required.
