TL;DR
Program Coordinator II (Academic Advising): Coordinating undergraduate student success, retention, stop-out, advising, and outreach programs with an accent on student interventions, academic guidance, and cross-campus collaboration. Focus on analyzing persistence data, using EAB Navigate 360 and Banner-based tools, managing student caseloads, and developing re-enrollment action plans.

Location: College Station, Texas, United States; on-campus work required. Some evening and weekend work and travel may be required.

Salary: $45,000–$58,741.20 annually. Proposed minimum salary: $3,750 monthly.

What you will do

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, promote, and deliver undergraduate student success programs, workshops, and resources.
  • Coordinate institution-wide stop-out initiatives, student outreach, readmission communications, and re-enrollment action plans.
  • Provide academic advising, mentoring, intervention, and referrals for students facing academic, probationary, financial, or withdrawal-related concerns.
  • Monitor student progress, degree requirements, academic records, and readmission outcomes across assigned caseloads.
  • Analyze and report student persistence, retention, and stop-out data for university and college leaders.
  • Support academic advisors through advising technology, policy interpretation, case follow-up, and stakeholder coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of experience in academic advising, student development, or related higher education work.
  • Experience with academic advising, student support, retention programming, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of degree plans, academic programs, evaluations, and student progress monitoring.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Ability to work cooperatively, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and serve as a mental health advocate.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, Educational Technology, Adult Education, or a related field.
  • Experience with EAB Navigate 360 or a related predictive analytics system.
  • Experience with COMPASS/Banner, HOWDY, Articulate 360/Rise, Adobe Captivate/XD, Canva, or Camtasia.
  • Recruiting, prospective student advising, or student retention program coordination experience.
  • Ability to understand and speak Spanish.
