Public Sector Leadership Training Manager

Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service provides emergency response training, workforce training, technical assistance, and professional development programs.

What you will do

• Manage training schedules, program deliveries, host-agency relationships, and program financials.
• Coordinate the Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program with the Texas A&M Mays Business School Center for Executive Development.
• Oversee the Fire Service Development Program and the Texas Fire Officer Program, including NFPA standards-based, Pro Board-accredited certification courses.
• Supervise a Training Coordinator and an Administrative Coordinator, with indirect oversight of adjunct wage instructors.
• Support the TEEX Leadership Development Symposium and develop marketing strategies for training programs.
• Provide instructional leadership, support curriculum development, and ensure training quality, relevance, and fiscal viability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of related experience in training operations, program administration, or curriculum development.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Basic Firefighter Certification through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, or reciprocity-eligible Pro Board or IFSAC certification.
• Instructor 2 Certification through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, or reciprocity-eligible Pro Board or IFSAC certification.
• Equivalencies include an associate degree with seven years of related experience or a high school diploma/GED with nine years of related experience.
