Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service provides emergency response training, workforce training, technical assistance, and professional development programs.
What you will do
- Manage training schedules, program deliveries, host-agency relationships, and program financials.
- Coordinate the Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program with the Texas A&M Mays Business School Center for Executive Development.
- Oversee the Fire Service Development Program and the Texas Fire Officer Program, including NFPA standards-based, Pro Board-accredited certification courses.
- Supervise a Training Coordinator and an Administrative Coordinator, with indirect oversight of adjunct wage instructors.
- Support the TEEX Leadership Development Symposium and develop marketing strategies for training programs.
- Provide instructional leadership, support curriculum development, and ensure training quality, relevance, and fiscal viability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five years of related experience in training operations, program administration, or curriculum development.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Firefighter Certification through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, or reciprocity-eligible Pro Board or IFSAC certification.
- Instructor 2 Certification through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, or reciprocity-eligible Pro Board or IFSAC certification.
- Equivalencies include an associate degree with seven years of related experience or a high school diploma/GED with nine years of related experience.
