Systems Engineer Technical Specialist (Data Processing)

Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States; no remote or telework allowed.

Salary: $135,035.83–$218,941.46 per year. The stated projected compensation range may vary based on experience, skills, education, certifications, location, and federal contract labor categories.

What you will do

• Assess, verify, and validate cyber and information systems.
• Identify code signatures in blended operations using C/C++ and Python.
• Review system architecture, design documentation, network designs, and security processes.
• Develop and administer requirements for cyber tools and align technology strategies with mission and business objectives.
• Coordinate technical strategies and plans with inter-agency partners, stakeholders, and intelligence or defense personnel.
• Develop CONOPS documentation, support operations governance, and assess technical risks and mission readiness.

Requirements

• Active and maintainable TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10–12 years of experience, master’s degree with 8–10 years, PhD with 5–7 years, or equivalent experience in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a scientific or technical discipline.
• Experience developing actionable, measurable, testable, and traceable technical requirements.
• Experience analyzing projects and programs for technical risks and providing improvement recommendations.
• Experience developing CONOPS diagrams, project plans, and test cases for cyber capabilities.
• Experience working with IC or DoD targeting officers on access, exfiltration, collection, and covert-action opportunities.
