TL;DR
Supervisor - Epic Clinical Analyst (Epic/Healthcare Technology): Supporting clinical Epic implementations, optimization initiatives, stabilization efforts, and transformation programs with an accent on workflow design, testing, go-live readiness, and project execution. Focus on coordinating cross-functional healthcare teams, translating clinical pain points into improvement roadmaps, and supervising Epic consulting staff across concurrent engagements.

Location: Chicago, with flexibility to be based near any major hirify.global office in the United States. Travel for client engagements is required as needed, approximately 25%–75%.

Salary: $95,400–$192,000 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

  • Deliver hands-on Epic clinical consulting across implementations, optimizations, upgrades, stabilization efforts, and transformation programs.
  • Support clinical workflow design, build validation, testing, go-live readiness, post-go-live support, and command center operations.
  • Analyze clinical workflows and design improvements for provider efficiency, nursing operations, patient safety, documentation, patient flow, and user adoption.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, dependencies, RAID logs, governance meetings, status reporting, scope control, and issue escalation.
  • Coordinate physicians, nurses, pharmacy, IT, training, testing, informatics, operational leaders, and third-party vendors.
  • Supervise and coach consultants while contributing to proposals, reusable delivery assets, practice development, and client expansion opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Active Epic certification in at least one clinical Epic application is required.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on Epic clinical implementation, optimization, support, or healthcare operations experience.
  • Experience supporting Epic clinical projects or major workstreams and managing project plans, risks, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory, inpatient, emergency, perioperative, pharmacy, or ancillary clinical workflows.
  • Experience mentoring staff or leading small teams, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

  • Multiple Epic certifications, including Ambulatory, Inpatient Clinical Documentation, Orders, ASAP, Stork, Willow, Cupid, OpTime, Anesthesia, or Healthy Planet.
  • Former Epic Systems experience or a clinical background as an RN, NP, PA, pharmacist, therapist, or other licensed caregiver.
  • Healthcare transformation consulting, project management, PMO leadership, or Epic workstream leadership experience.
  • Experience with go-lives, post-go-live stabilization, proposals, RFPs, governance models, provider adoption, or clinical performance metrics.
