Maintenance Tech I 12HR PM - $6,500 Sign On Bonus! (Automation)

Location: Hartland, Wisconsin, United States. Onsite role with a rotating 12-hour PM schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM in a 2-2-3 format; training takes place on a first-shift 5/8-hour schedule. Requires up to 10% business travel within and outside the state.

Salary: $26.25–$38.00 per hour. $6,500 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary production equipment.
• Diagnose equipment outages, correct malfunctions, document issues in maintenance logs, and escalate complex problems when needed.
• Record work in CMMS and ticketing systems and maintain operating logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, and facility systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for major downtime events and verify corrective actions.
• Support maintenance mechanics, equipment assembly and testing, and facility projects such as plumbing, carpentry, door repairs, and lighting work.
• Analyze production delays, defects, and spoilage causes and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment.
• Fundamental understanding of machinery and experience troubleshooting inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems.
• Basic proficiency with multiple computer software packages, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to provide necessary hand tools, operate material-handling equipment, and follow Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, PPE, and other safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally, work at heights, stand for 8–12 hours, work overtime, and respond to on-call requests.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or an equivalent field.
• Apprenticeship completion or current trade certification.
• At least 3 years of building maintenance experience in a facility larger than 75,000 square feet.
