Automation Maintenance Tech 1st Shift (PLC)

Location: Delavan, Wisconsin, United States; onsite work in a plant facility. First shift: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday; overtime may be required.

Hourly pay: $34.00–$37.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Perform advanced maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and fabrications across robotics, automation, assembly, CNC, injection molding, and production equipment.
• Preventively maintain and troubleshoot robotic systems, PLCs, sensors, motion-control systems, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and vision systems.
• Disassemble and reassemble robots and peripheral equipment, replacing circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and servomotors.
• Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to install, operate, and improve robotics and automation equipment supporting production lines.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs, maintain spare-parts inventories and repair records, and respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Participate in LEAN activities such as Kaizens, RCCM, 5-Whys, and A3s, while supporting the training and development of junior technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 5+ years of technical training or job-related experience.
• Knowledge of electronic sensors, motion-control systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Proficiency in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and computer-controlled systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex automated-system problems; strong mathematical, computer, and electrical skills.
• Full ability to read and communicate in English.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools, stand and walk continuously for extended periods, work around plant hazards, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Technical degree or certification in automation, controls, or electronics.
• Injection molding experience.
