Employee Benefit Analyst II (Insurance)

What you will do

• Prepare financial analyses for predominantly fully insured employee benefit clients, including market reviews, renewal projections, funding models, rate and contribution analyses, claims reports, and benchmarking.
• Analyze claims experience, insurance contracts, and financial arrangements to identify performance conclusions and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Develop alternative strategies and plan models for clients with guidance.
• Request and evaluate carrier quotes for new business and renewals, negotiate rates and benefit features, and maintain carrier relationships.
• Prepare executive summaries, renewal letters, and other client- and carrier-facing correspondence.
• Maintain a full book of business, participate in peer reviews, and use analytic tools with guidance.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in employee benefits or a related field.
• High school diploma required; a college degree is preferred.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a state Life & Disability insurance license.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced team environment with minimal instruction.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
