Software Engineer III – Developer Services (AI)

What you will do

• Design and maintain application reference architectures, reusable templates, engineering patterns, and implementation guidance.
• Develop AI-enabled engineering capabilities, including reusable skills, agents, and tooling with technologies such as Amazon Bedrock and Claude Code.
• Build and enhance internal developer platforms, automation, web applications, and the Coder developer platform.
• Promote modern practices across AI-assisted development, cloud-native engineering, DevOps, testing, and the software development lifecycle.
• Partner with engineering teams through consulting, code reviews, workshops, and training.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve developer experience, software quality, engineering efficiency, and delivery throughput.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, developer tooling, platform engineering, or a related area.
• Hands-on web development experience with Python, TypeScript, React, or a comparable modern technology stack.
• Experience developing solutions on AWS or another public cloud platform.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle practices; exposure to CI/CD, infrastructure automation, DevOps, or cloud-native engineering is preferred.
• Experience with or demonstrated interest in AI-assisted software development and agentic technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
