Principal Full Stack Engineer (AI Platform & Agents)

Location: US or Canada; hybrid for candidates within commuting distance of a hirify.global office with 2 days per week onsite, remote for candidates outside commuting distance. The team also states remote-first work in the US or EU. Requires 9–11 AM CST overlap.

Salary: $157,900–$282,100 USD annually.

What you will do

• Design and implement full-stack applications, AI agents, and reusable GenAI platform components.
• Build developer tooling, CI/CD workflows, observability, evaluations, canary releases, rollbacks, and cost and quality telemetry.
• Apply secure SDLC, threat modeling, least-privilege access, and privacy-by-design practices.
• Use RAG, retrieval, routing, tool use, and evaluation patterns to improve AI reliability, safety, latency, and cost.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and domain experts to deliver measurable customer outcomes.
• Drive architecture, own larger projects, mentor engineers, and take systems from concept to production.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack development skills and experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in at least one of AI agent development and evaluation, backend, frontend, cloud services, CI/CD and infrastructure as code, SRE, quality engineering, or secure SDLC.
• Experience delivering secure, reliable, cloud-native systems to production.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to work in the US or Canada, or in the EU under the stated remote-first arrangement, with 9–11 AM CST overlap; hybrid candidates must attend onsite two days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience taking AI agents from concept to production, including safety evaluations, A/B testing, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, vector and RAG systems, or OpenSearch.
• Experience with traditional ML training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Understanding of LLM failure modes, fine-tuning, and model adaptation.
• Familiarity with SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar regulatory frameworks.
