Software Engineer II (AI)

Location: San Jose, California, United States. Telecommuting is permitted only within normal commuting distance of the San Jose office.

Salary: $226,138–$227,000 per year, plus potential stock-based and variable compensation.

What you will do

• Design architectures and application components for internal web applications and services, including frontend and backend structures, API contracts, and SQL database models.
• Implement and maintain full-stack applications and services with C#, TypeScript, React, and .NET, including REST and GraphQL APIs and service integrations.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines for microservices and web applications, monitor releases, and resolve deployment issues.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests, maintain coverage, and participate in code reviews.
• Analyze usage, performance, and error metrics to evaluate automation and process improvements and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Build Python-based AI-assisted tools using large language models and retrieval-augmented generation to streamline routine tasks and improve internal tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with four years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with two years of relevant experience.
• At least two years of coding experience in modern programming languages and two years of full-stack software engineering experience.
• At least two years of technical communication experience, including design and system documentation, code and document feedback, and stakeholder updates.
• At least one year of experience with an object-oriented programming language, Transact-SQL, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with version control, code review, deployment, Boomi, and Python.
