BIM Coordinator

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain building information models in line with VDC standards, processes, and technologies.
• Create proposal animations and renderings using tools such as SketchUp.
• Implement BIM Execution Plans and support preconstruction quantity development from owner or developer models.
• Develop and maintain existing-site, architectural, and structural models, including ceiling grids, vertical transportation, and building envelopes.
• Lead MEP/FP coordination and assist with construction process planning and internal and external coordination.
• Review shop drawings, CAD standards, and VDC design issues for completeness, quality, and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of BIM and excitement about using BIM to improve construction processes and projects.
• At least 5 years of construction or drafting experience with applicable certificates and 2 years of direct BIM Coordinator experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Enterprise tools, including Revit, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, contract drawings, specifications, project schedules, and scopes of work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Bluebeam, laser scanning, drone flying, SketchUp Pro, and AR/VR technologies.
