Quality Manager II (Aerospace)

Location: Pottsville, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite. Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, certain temporary residents, refugees, or asylees.

What you will do

• Maintain an effective Quality Management System and ensure compliance with aerospace certifications and applicable quality standards.
• Coordinate quality policies, procedures, quality plans, and process controls while minimizing production costs.
• Oversee internal audits and provide plant management with performance feedback, trend analysis, and improvement recommendations.
• Lead supplier quality audits, corrective actions, non-conforming material containment, segregation, and disposition.
• Develop and motivate the quality department while supporting training, communication, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Act as the management representative and liaison with customers and other external parties on Quality Management System matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline and five years of quality experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and industrial certifications.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems including ISO9001, AS9100, and NADCAP, with auditor certifications.
• Experience with statistical process control, data analysis, and the Advanced Product Quality Planning framework.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; ERP/MRP experience is preferred.
• Proven leadership, communication, facilitation, organizational, and people-management skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 management systems.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• ERP/MRP experience.
