Quality Control Inspector II (2nd Shift)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Inspect parts, electronic assemblies, and finished high-reliability products using approved procedures, specifications, drawings, and measurement equipment.
• Perform measurements with calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, CMM, and VMM equipment.
• Document inspection activities in electronic systems, written logs, and labels.
• Maintain and improve inspection methods, plans, quality procedures, and department processes.
• Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, 8D investigations, audit findings, and nonconforming material disposition.
• Assist with quality metrics, scheduling, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying protected status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience or training, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems, ERP and PLM software, and microscopic visual inspection.
• Ability to read engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions.
• Strong digital, written, verbal, interpersonal, and procedural skills with close attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Aerospace or electronics industry experience.
• Coordinate Measuring Machine experience.
• J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or IPC/WHA-A-620 certification.
