Quality Control Inspector II (Aerospace Electronics)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Execute quality control processes for purchased products, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements.
• Inspect incoming materials, electronic components, PCBAs, cable assemblies, and electromechanical parts using appropriate test and measurement equipment.
• Inspect mechanical hardware with calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, and CMMs.
• Document inspection activities in electronic systems, written logs, and labels.
• Maintain inspection equipment, supplies, and QC work areas.
• Support inspection plan development, quality procedure improvements, metrics reporting, non-conforming material disposition, scheduling, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Eligibility to work under United States Government Space Technology Export Regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience or training, or at least 5 years of related experience without an associate degree.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems and microscopic visual inspection.
• Experience using mechanical measurement tools and ERP/PLM software systems.
• Ability to read engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions, with strong communication, attention to detail, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the aerospace or electronics industry.
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
