Gas Measurement Technician (Oil and Gas)

Location: Midland, Texas, United States; frequent travel to field locations and training sites; on-call work may include nights and weekends.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, monitor, analyze, and optimize gas production and sales measurement equipment.
• Collect electronic flow measurement data and configure EFM hardware and software.
• Install and calibrate electronic transducers and automated valve equipment.
• Review daily meter data, troubleshoot measurement issues, and coordinate corrections with appropriate personnel.
• Support the Measurement supervisor and production foreman with field measurement applications and construction project reviews.
• Respond to corrective work orders, track results and costs, and provide vacation relief for measurement technicians and supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of oil and gas experience.
• Understanding of test vessels, piping, meters, and oil and gas operations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company-specific applications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurability standards for driving a company vehicle.
• Ability to work non-traditional and on-call hours and travel frequently to field locations.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of EFM equipment such as ABB, ROC, Fox Thermal, and Scadapack.
• Knowledge of PCCU, Emerson Field Tools, Realflo, and FT4X View.
• Ability to communicate effectively across different teams.
