Measurement Technician - Mercer (Natural Gas): Installing, maintaining, operating, and calibrating natural gas measurement, control, regulation, SCADA, and gas quality equipment with an accent on measurement accuracy, troubleshooting, and safe operation. Focus on auditing custody-transfer data, correcting measurement errors, interpreting electrical schematics, and overseeing maintenance work in pipeline facilities.

Location: Onsite in Mercer, Pennsylvania, United States. Monday through Friday with nights-and-weekends on-call responsibilities; travel may be required depending on facility location and workload.

What you will do

  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and remove natural gas measurement, control, and regulation equipment.
  • Maintain SCADA systems and gas quality analyzers, monitor gas flows, and apply required volume and gas-quality corrections.
  • Detect measurement errors, audit custody-transfer and control data, and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Interpret electrical and electronic schematics and maintain accurate operation of assigned measurement facilities.
  • Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities, including work quality and safety performance.
  • Identify and correct safety and environmental concerns while following company, regulatory, and tariff requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field, technical degree or certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic computer, mathematics, electrical, and MS Office skills, plus working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Knowledge of flammable-gas, liquid, and high-pressure-system safety practices and electronic test instruments.
  • Experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment used in gas and liquid measurement and control.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to meet company insurability requirements, and willingness to obtain required certifications.
  • Ability to speak and understand English; availability for on-call duties, shift work when applicable, travel, and physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and entering confined spaces.
