Urgent Tool & Die Maker - All Shifts

Location: Solon, Ohio, United States; onsite across all shifts

Compensation: Up to $40.00 per hour. Hiring bonus: $5,000. Relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Plan, lay out, construct, maintain, alter, and repair complex progressive, blanking, piercing, and forming dies.
• Design dies and create or direct the creation of detailed drawings from drawings, sketches, samples, and instructions.
• Plan and perform intricate machining operations on tool-room equipment while maintaining close tolerances.
• Diagnose die problems in production, perform emergency press-department repairs, and implement changes that improve operation or reduce maintenance time.
• Perform die grinding, shimming, component replacement, and production of repair parts and special-order machined items.
• Prepare complex print programs, assist with plant equipment setup, and instruct other employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman’s card or equivalent experience in the tool and die trade.
• At least 3 years of tool and die experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multitasking environment while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and follow safety and quality requirements.

Nice to have

• CNC equipment experience.
• Wire EDM experience.
• Lift truck operator experience.
