Tool and Die Machinist (Manufacturing)

Location: Edison, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: Starting at $35.95 per hour, plus a third-shift differential

What you will do

• Operate and maintain CNC grinders, lathes, Bridgeport mills, welders, and plasma cutters.
• Machine, refurbish, and rebuild tooling for can-making machinery using blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, pumps, and other production equipment.
• Measure raw material requirements and catalog production tooling for efficient access.
• Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with strict manufacturing tolerances.
• Operate plant equipment, including forklifts, lifts, and booms, while following lockout/tagout procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; trade school training is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
