Quality Control Inspector II (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Inspect incoming parts, in-process production, and finished products for conformity with quality standards.
• Document inspection results, complex observations, structural flaws, internal defects, missing welds, and recommendations.
• Use hand measurement tools and advanced inspection techniques to verify product conformity.
• Coordinate with production teams on quality issues, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors and assist with quality-control documentation and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO 9000, and AS 9100 standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 1 year of quality-control or related experience, preferably as a quality-assurance inspector.
• Mechanical inspection experience using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and similar tools.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and drawings and perform finished-goods and in-process inspections.
• Experience with MS Office and material-management systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations.

Nice to have

• Aerospace or defense industry experience.
• Ability to obtain IPC 610 and IPC 620 certifications.
• Ability to draft work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
