Quality Assurance Technician (Mid-level)

Location: Sterling, Virginia, United States; onsite work supporting a DHS contract

hirify.global is supporting a prestigious federal contractor on a new Department of Homeland Security contract.

What you will do

• Inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished products using test procedures and measuring equipment.
• Identify defects, production bottlenecks, and recurring non-conformities, then recommend corrective actions.
• Document inspection outcomes, test results, defects, and resolutions in detailed reports, logs, and quality management systems.
• Monitor manufacturing compliance with GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with production and engineering teams to prevent recurring defects.
• Train and support production staff on quality standards, procedures, assembly, and configuration tasks.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen due to a government requirement.
• Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust.
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in quality control or a manufacturing environment.
• Prior assembly experience or an electrical/electronics background, with proficiency using digital multimeters, calipers, hand tools, and basic power tools.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, test procedures, and assembly build documents; stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
